Energy and Economy Saving in H2O2 Commercial Production Unit Using Pilot Plant Data
The purpose of this paper is investigating how energy consumption in H2O2 pilot plant can be saved. For this reason the H2O2 pilot plant in national petrochemical research and technology company Arak center was investigated. First, by studying process flow diagram, the hot and cold streams and their inlet and outlet temperatures are specified. Then by using pinch technology was estimated and the heat exchanger network was designed. It was identified that the heat exchanger network has 6 process heat exchangerwhich by adding them in HEN use of hot utility decreased about 15% and also cold utility decreased about 12%. By increasing the capacity up to 100000 tones per year pay back period decrease up to 1.7 year.
